Future Plans

Having attained the status of premier institution for the treatment of the leprosy affected, SHLC is in the process of extending its services to other underprivileged-suffering brethren.  Since June, 1999, SHLC has started Out-Patient clinic services to the patients suffering from diseases other than leprosy also, with the available infrastructure and personnel.  Experts from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute (Deemed University) are visiting and rendering valuable services.

In the years to come SHLC  has plans to develop into a modern hospital with facilities to treat patients suffering from various ailments.  At present buildings are under construction to house wards so that the bed strength could be increased sufficiently.  New operation theatre complex has also been proposed with facilities to conduct all major surgeries including cardiac and neuro-surgeries

Efforts are being taken to have casualty services with round the clock care, aided with Emergency Services, Intensive Care Units etc.

Consultants in various specialities will be made available so that patients can avail overall care under one  roof.

Various reputed medical institutions have come forward to help in achieving this goal in the nearest future.  With the encouragement and help from the benefactors, well wishers and friends, SHLC hopes to continue its  services to all those in need in future.
